Rhodes is a Greek island in the southeastern Aegean Sea off the coast of Turkey, approximately midway between the Greek mainland and the island of Cyprus. Historically, it was known for its Colossus of Rhodes, one of the Seven Wonders of the World. The medieval city is a World Heritage Site.
